This pattern of weaving originated in the Uppada of East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh. Banarasi Uppada is the personification of women's elegancy and civility. Jamdani weaving takes 10 to 60 days, and at least 2-3 weavers spend 10 hours a day and include laying out its design, interweaving silk threads, looming, etc. It is famous for the length and breadth count of threads.
